With the whether being so horrible lately, I have been able to rug up and get some time to myself and make a couple of cards. I have found the wonderful world of digital stamping. I was a bit dubious about it at first. I searched the web and found some fantastic sites. Once you purchase them, you download them and keep them in a file and can use them over again, just like rubber stamps, except they don't take up any space lol..having said that, I haven't converted to them totally, I still love the hands on approach with rubber and ink.
Here are just a couple of images I have been working on lately.
This little sweetie is called Shaela. For this card I used
Cardstock: SU Taken with teal and whisper white
Stamps: Best Yet hostess set level 1 and Scribble jumbo wheel
Other: Copic markers, dazzling diamonds, Martha Steward border punch, ticket punch, flowers, teal half pearls and rhinestones.
I'm madly in love with all the little Swiss Pixies at the moment. This is the adorable little Leisel. This image is not a digital image (although you can purchase her digitally). I had forgotten that I had this cardstock. I think I need to sit down one day soon and re-acquaint my self with my stash. lol..
I want to thank all the lovely ladies who sent their best wishes to my daughter Erin for her fantastic result of achieving Dux for yr 12. She was so excited to think that people she had never met, were congratulating her. You truly are very thoughtful and I thank you.
I will be back in a couple of days with a couple more digi images. Let me know what you think. I appreciate each and every comment.
Till next time, take care xo Jackie
My beautiful daughter Erin had her year 12 presentation today AND she received the award for Dux of the year. We are so extremely proud of her. Anyone who knows Erin, knows how hard she studies and applies herself to everything in her life (except keeping her bedroom tidy..lol). She throughly deserves this award. Now she has the huge task of sitting her HSC after the holidays. I have no doubt that she will pass with flying colours. Congratulations sweetheart, I love you so very much.
Here is the card I made for her. We are all going out for a very special dinner tonight to celebrate.
Till next time, take care xo Jackie
Hello there. Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog. Here is the card I made for my good friend Kerri-Anne. Her birthday is tomorrow, 1st October. I hope you have a lovely day my dear friend. It's a little hard to see, but I have embossed the butterfly with a gorgeous teal glitter embossing powder. The friend circle is embossed and coloured with Stampin' Up! taken with teal marker. I have been neglecting my poor stamps lately as I am madly in love with my Copics and just can't get enough of them. As a very dear friend of mine always says' "It's a disease"... Hi Phil.. anyway, here is my attempt at getting back into stamping. For this card is used the following:
Stamps: Simple Friendship
Card Stock: Taken with Teal, Whisper White and Basic Black
Ink: Taken with Teal, Basic Black
Other: Teal embossing powder, black satin ribbon, Martha Stewart Valentine border punch, dimensionals.
A while ago, I purchased a tutorial from the very inspirational Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho. She has the most amazing tutorials and they are very easy to follow.
This is from the Purse-onally Perfect Notes tutorial. I have only made the purse and am hoping to make the cards to go inside sooner rather than later, lol. It was sooo much fun. Check out her blog here. She has many more tutorial and they are all fantastic.
For this project I used:
Card Stock: Basic Grey textured cs, Urban Oasis DSP, Sahara Sand and Whisper White
Stamp: Fifth Avenue Floral
Ink: Black Stazon, Baja Breeze
Other: Vintage Brads, Clear Rhinestone Brad, Square Punch, Sticky Strip.
Thank you to all the lovely ladies for taking time and leaving me encouraging comments. I appreciate each and every one of them.
Till next time, take care xo Jackie
Here are just two of the four birthday cards I need to make before the end of next week. I'm thinking of entering this card into Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenge.
The first is for my beautiful and incredibly talented friend Kylie. Happy Birthday for the 5th gorgeous. I just had to use her favourite colour combination of pink and green. I coloured the Sugar Nellie image with my Copic markers. The tiny little pink rose is from Bizzy Becs. She has an incredible array of flowers in her online store. You simply must check it out.
The second card is for Kylies adorable little girl Jorjia. I love this little girl as if she was my very own. I can't believe she is going to be turning 3. I think she needs a playmate Kylie...lol...

This is another Sugar Nellie image, coloured with my Copic markers. I used crystal effects on the apples to give a lovely gloss to them. I'm in the process of making the other two cards at the moment. One is for Kylies other daughter Miki and the other is for Kylies Mum Lyn. (Hi Lyn, wish I was coming down with Kylie next week to see you). Since knowing Kylie, October is now a very busy month for Birthdays for me too, but I wouldn't have it any other way. They are all so very special to me and my family.
Till next time, take care Jackie xo
Just letting you all know that I am still in the land of the living. lol..
I have been spending all my time with Geoff since he came home. I'ts so nice to have him back. Having said that, I'm planning on getting something made this weekend and will post it shortly after. Well, that's the grand plan anyway.
I hope you are all well and thank you for all of your lovely comments and well wishes.
Till next time, take care xo Jackie
Last week, I received this award from the extremely talented and very sweet Cheryl. Thank you so much Cheryl. It means a lot to me. Cheryl is soooo talented and all of her creations are simply stunning. You simply must pop over to her blog and check it out.
At the moment, all signs are positive for the return of my gorgeous husband. I'm trying not to get too excited, BUT...2 more sleeps...2 more sleeps...lol.
Thank you to all the lovely ladies who have left me encouraging thoughts. You truly are wonderful.
Till next time, take care xo Jackie
Here is the card I made for my gorgeous little niece Bella, for her 2nd Birthday. My sister Debbie, lives in Darwin, so unfortunately we don't get to see much of her. We are planning an early birthday party for Bella, as they are heading on down this way in a couple of months time. We will all have lots of time for cuddles and spoiling. (That's what Aunties are for, isn't it?) I coloured the tilda quite a while ago and found her between some card stock while I was tidying up my craft area. All the card stock is from Stampin' Up!. I made some faux brads with punched circles and crystal effects. I also used the build a brad from SU for the centre of the flower. The ribbon is from my stash and I used my Martha Stewart border punch, and Mc Gill leaf punch.
I can now count on one hand, how many more sleeps until my darling husband comes home from the Middle East. We are still hoping and praying that everything will work out. I'm waiting on a call from him today letting me know what's happening. There is a chance that his departure will be delayed for another week. I know many people will say "gosh it's only another week" but believe me, it is so hard. Each day we get closer the slower time seems to pass. We all have our fingers crossed. I still haven't told the children yet. My plan is to tell them that I have to race down to the supermarket, but I will head in the other direction and get Geoff from the Airport. I can't wait....
Till next time, take care xo Jackie

Here is the card I just finished for my beautiful little sister Helens' Birthday. Happy Birthday for the 12th honey. She lives over in Western Australia and I miss her so much. She has a beautiful little boy Nathaniel and he is just like her. I love them to bits. I'm hoping that they will be able to make it across this way for one of my other sister's 40th Birthday. Unfortunately, that isn't until January.
Speaking of January, we have been posted to Canberra and will leave here on the 6th January. I'm in the process of finding schools and housing (oh Joy!!!). I love Canberra, so of course part of me is quite excited by that, on the other hand, I have some very dear friends and family here and it is going to be hard leaving them. Canberra is only about 5 hours away, so it will be easy to come up for weekends.
I'm definately on the countdown now, until my gorgeous husband will be coming home from the Middle East. 14 days and counting. I'm so excited, even getting little butterflies in my stomach. I still haven't told the kids of his expected arrival as it could change so quickly. I learnt that the hard way last Christmas. I miss him so so much and am extremely proud of him serving our country.
It was his Birthday yesterday and his troops arranged a chocolate cake for him (his favourite). How special was that?? We had a cake for him also. My son decided that he should eat his dad's piece for him. It was so cute.
On a completely different note. My dear friend Kerri-Anne came over yesterday for a visit and handed me this incredible thank you card she had made. The work she put into it was amazing. I haven't taken a pic of the inside as she had handwritten a personal message to me, but I can tell you, the sewing she did was fantastic. Everything was cut out by hand. She definately has a knack. Thank you so much Kerri-Anne, you are gorgeous.
Thank you to all the beautiful ladies who leave me comments. I really do appreciate them all. Till next time, take care xo Jackie
I just received this award from the beautiful Bec. Thank you, you're such a sweetie. I'm sending it right back to you. If there is anyone out there who hasn't yet visited her online store. I would like to forward this award onto:
Kylie
Bec
Cheryl
Vicki
Nerine
Andrea
Spread the love ladies....
Till next time, take care xo Jackie
Here's the card I made for my beautiful Mum. Happy Birthday xo. She's not in much shape to be celebrating as she is still unwell with pneumonia. Get better soon Mum. I cased the idea for this card from the very talented Andrea Walford. Let me know what you think. I love getting feedback.
Till next time, take care xo Jackie
Wow.. What a fun afternoon we had today. I had 11 beautiful ladies come over to my home and made 4 items, using goodies from the fantastic "Spring Mini Catalogue". Paula, Nikita, Roz and the very "tinny" Kylie were the winners of the lucky door prizes. You can pretty well guarantee that if there is a prize to be won, Kylie will be the winner. She deserves it. I love her to bits. Here are a couple of photos we took today.
Who wants a cuppa?
Thank you again lovely ladies for such a fun afternoon. I'm looking forward to our next get together.
Here are the other two items we made.
Stamp sets: Lovely as a Tree and Oval All.
Card stock: Sahara Sand, whisper white and chocolate chip
Ink: Sahara Sand
Markers: Old Olive, Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip
Other: Scallop Oval punch and twine
I got the idea for this gift card holder from chic' n scratch. Check out her video tutorials.
Stamp set: Great Friend
Card Stock: Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey, Baja Breeze and Walk in the Park DSP.
Ink: Kiwi Kiss and Basic Grey
Other: Grey Tafetta Ribbon, dimensionals, envelopes and dazzling diamonds.
Till next time, take care xo Jackie
Oohh... How exciting, only 1 more sleep until the launch of the new "spring mini catalogue". I have a fun filled day organised at my home tomorrow afternoon, with 11 lovely ladies attending. I have lots of lovely lucky door prizes and little goody bags for everyone. Below is a sneak peak of the items we will be making. I love nearly everything in this mini. I found it rather hard to restrain myself. There is definately something for everyone.
This little set is definately one of my favourites. The little critters are so darn cute.
Stamps: Forest Friends
CS: Baja Breeze, Basic Grey, Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze DSP
Markers: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive
Other: Kiwi Kiss ribbon, scallop edge punch, SU pastels and sponge daubers.
This second card is made with the new scrummy Parisian Breeze DSP. This paper is just stunning.
Stamp set: Soft Summer
CS: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Parisian Breeze DSP
Markers: Close to Cocoa, Old Olive and Bordering Blue
Other: Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon and Dazzling Diamonds
These are just two of the items we will be creating tomorrow. I will post the others in a day or so.
Till next time, take care xo Jackie
Here are a couple of cards my beautiful daughter Lauren created earlier on this week. The first one was made for her Dad for his birthday. She coloured them both with Stampin' Up! markers and used a paper pack from Becs for the second one. She loves any type of craft, card making, scrapbooking and jewellry making, you name it and she loves it. She was extremely excited when I told her that I would put a couple on my blog.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend, till next time, take care xo Jackie
Out of all the little character stamps I have, I have to say that the Tilda's are still my favourite. They are all so adorable. I purchase nearly all of my Magnolia stamps from Bec. As I have said before she has the most wonderful online store.
I coloured her with my Copic Markers and used Stampin' Up! card stock in chocolate chip and kiwi kiss, Bella Rose DSP and Earth Element brads.
My daughter Lauren has been busy over the school holidays creating cards herself and I told her that I will post some of them. So I will take some pics and post them soon. She is quite excited at the idea.
Till next time. Take care xo Jackie
I made this card on Sunday afternoon using my new Greeting Farm stamps. This adorable little girl is from the Miss Anya Collection. I coloured her using Copic Markers and I matched it up with my own stash of Basic Grey Papers. These papers are from the Phoebe Collection. I was planning on posting this card yesterday, but my migraine had other ideas. I'm feeling a little better today. Thank goodness. It's hard being unwell when the kids are home on school holidays and your husband is overseas. Luckily though, my children are old enough to feed and water themselves...
This is the card I made for my darling husbands Birthday. Unfortunately he will still be overseas for it, so the kids and I are making him a special Birthday package and sending it over to him.
I cased this design from Splitcoaststampers but changed it a bit. I find it so hard to design cards for men. My friend Kylie has had a huge month of making male cards and has done extremely well. For this card, I used:
Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point and Very Vanilla Card stock. Basic Grey, Chocolate Chip and Summer Sun ink, Kiwi Kiss Ribbon. Pocket Silhouettes, Wonderful Favourites and Best Yet (hostess level 1) stamp sets.
Till next time, Take care xo Jackie
Imagine my suprise, when I logged onto the computer this morning and found out that I had received an award for my blog. YAY!! The kids called out "what's wrong Mum", lol. After a brief explanation and lots of "that's great Mum", they went back to whatever they were up to.
The VERY talented and lovely Cheryl Joshua gave this award to me. If you haven't checked out her blog, you must. She has the most amazing cards and her colouring is fabulous. Thanks again Cheryl.
On a completely different note. I have been very busy lately making samples for my Spring Mini Launch. I think I've finally finished, so I'm hoping to get some time this afternoon and make something up using my new Greeting Farms stamps. They are soooo cute.
I hope you're all having a lovely weekend. Take care xo Jackie
I have been practicing colouring with my new Copic Markers. It does take a little getting used to, but I think I'm getting there. I sat up last night and finished this card. What do you think?

I used SU Tea Party DSP, the new Scallop Oval punch and the Oval All stamp set from the new Spring Mini, which will be released here on the 1st August.
Speaking of which, I'm so looking forward to catching up with my lovely ladies on that day. I have organised a Spring Mini Catalogue launch in my home and I have 12 of them coming for an afternoon of fun. Can't wait.
Thank you to the lovely ladies who leave comments on my blog, I appreciate each and everyone of them.
Till next time, take care xo Jackie
Here are some more magnolias I have been working on lately.
This one was coloured with my new copic markers. Ooohhh, they are so scrummy to use. I just love Tildas face. Even though she doesn't have many features on her face, she is still very expressive.

This one was coloured using my Stampin' Up! markers.
Well I'm on the countdown now until my handsome husband is home with us all again. At the moment we are looking at having him home in about 8 weeks time. He left in March, it feels like a lifetime ago at times. We will have lots of reasons to celebrate, first and foremost, Geoff coming home. then we will celebrate his 50th Birthday (which he will be overseas for), and we will also be celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary. So it's going to be one big party in the Thomas household...Can't wait.
Take care, till next time xo Jackie
