Mini Scrapbook

Talk about on a roll !! Woo Hoo...How long will it last? Yes, I have been a busy little beaver lately. I'm enjoying my new found mojo (while it lasts). Now, I'm not quite sure what you would call this, but I'm calling it a mini scrapbook. This time, I have absolutely no idea where I came across idea. I have searched all my favourite blogs, but to no avail. As soon as I come across it, I will let you all know who the clever lady is and give her the credit she deserves. I'm planning on filling it with pics of the kids and sending it over to my darling husband who is still in the Middle East. Let me know what you think.

There are 4 more pages after this, but stamped with different images from the same set. I didn't want to bore you with all of them.

If anyone is interested in holding a workshop and making this cute little item, just give me a call.

Take care xo Jackie

Workshop

Wow..two posts in as many days. Who would have thought !!!

I held a workshop last night with 5 lovely ladie
s attending. For one lady, this was her first introduction to Stampin' Up! I absolutely loved her reaction when she finished making her items. She was amazed how much fun and easy they were to make. I love that reaction. It was exactly how I felt the first time I was introduced to these amazing products.

We started off making these little post it note holders. I used the marker to rubber technique.

We then made a little greeting card and envelope and inked up the stamps with sponge daubers. I love the mottled effect you get with this process.

Here's another card I whipped up using the same technique. These colours are sooo yummy together.

Thought for today.. I allow myself to experience love, and I easily express it to others. I treat myself with care and notice this feeling all around me. The more I find it, the more it finds me.

Take care xo Jackie

Thank you cards

Having spent the last few weeks unwell, it's certainly good to be back on board.. My beautiful Mum, Dad, Sister and dearest friend Kylie all pulled together and were so supportive. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. These are just two of the thank you cards I made for them, still a couple to finish. I purchased these adorable little stamps from a company in Scotland called Funky Kits. They are called "Gorjuss Girls".

Sorry about the quality of the photos. Trying to get natural light this afternoon was impossible. With the weather the way it is at the moment, if I didn't take them today, I wouldn't have been able to post anything for quite a while longer. You get the drift..

Here's another little baby I have finally finished. It's a stationary portfolio. It was so easy to make. I'm totally lovin' the Bella Rose DSP. I start
ed this project a while ago, and I can't for the life of me remember who created it. Will do some investigating and let you know. Promise! And again, sorry about the photography.

Ahhh, I remember now. It was on Becky's blog, "Inking Idaho" and the original idea was from a la
dy by the name of Nancy Horn. I didn't "really" remember, I had a quick look. LOL...

This is on the outside, both sides are the same, just different cards. There's room on the inside for envelopes or other little goodies.

I'm holding a workshop tomorrow night and am having 6 lovely ladies come around. Can't wait. Take care.

Magnolia Stamps

Just a quick post to show you the card I made for my Mum for Mothers Day. What do you think? I know it's not the traditional type of card for a Mothers Day card, but I couldn't resist. I am head over heals in love with Magnolia stamps and Sarah Kay stamps at the moment, and any excuse for me to sit and colour-in, is always a plus.

Everything except the flowers and brad are Stampin' Up
! products.

I hope all you mums out there, had a wonderful day yesterday. I had a fantastic day. I was served breaky in bed by the kids. Mmm, cold soggy toast and a luke warm cup of tea, but I tell you what, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. That's what it's all about, isn't it!!! Well I think it is anyway.

I purchase my Magnolia and Sarah Kay stamps from Bec. Her link is in my blog list under Bizzy Becs. Her store is "FAB" and she is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Check her out, I promise you wont regret it. Your hubby might though !! LOL...

Anyway, here is the card, tell me what you think.

Carousel Note Purse

I hope you all had a lovely Easter. I had family come for lunch which was really nice. The only down side is that my husband wasn't here. The kids and I miss him so much. It feels like he has been overseas forever. I suppose we should be use to it by now. Last Easter he was in far Nth Qld. Last Christmas he was in Exmouth WA and of course this Easter he is in the Middle East. Here's hoping he'll be home this Christmas.
With Geoff being away, I've been extra busy. Including running my eldest daughter to and from her part-time job. She's been getting a little "narky" with me lately, because I won't take her for driving lessons. It's just something I CANNOT do. I end up like a piece of jelly at the end of it. It's not that she's a bad driver, it's just something I can't come to grips with. Try telling that to a 17 year old though. Grrrr....

Anyway, enough of that. I came across this adorable carousel note purse on Jan's blog (stamps, paper, scissors. Check my blog list). She has some wonderful ideas and is an absolute hoot. You can't help but laugh with her, Yes with her! She is a total chocoholic too. A lady after my own heart. Anyway, I have wanted to make it for a while but didn't have any carousel notes. Well, I do now!
This was a blast to make, sooo much fun. I'm planning on making two. One each for my Mum and Grandmother for Mothers Day. I'll just pop in a few pics of the kids. Voila! Presents done.

This is the inside. Enough space for a couple of pics. There are hidden pockets in the two ends. Just pull the tabs and you have even more space for journalling or more photos.

Papers: Urban Garden DSP, chocolate chip, very vanilla and kiwi kiss.
Inks: chocolate chip, baja breeze and pacific point.
Stamps: Live like you mean it (hostess level1) and live your dream.
Other: carousel notes, silver hodgepodge, build a brad, earth elements brads, jumbo eyelets, chocolate grosgrain ribbon and flower fusion II.
Punches: cropodile, 1 1/4"square, scallop circle, 1 1/4" circle, 1 3/8" circle, 1/2" circle, boho blossom and round tab.

Give it a go. Her directions are very easy to follow. Let me know how you go.

This verse is taken from my beautiful book, "Daily guidance from your Angels". I focus on the light within me, feeling its steady warmth inside my belly, heart and mind. If I'm cold and lonely, I simply need to ask this glow to grow brighter and stronger. I can see it within myself and all others, and my life is touched by it. How beautiful it that?

Take care. Till next time. xx Jackie

Card and envelope tote

Told you I'd be back. With Geoff gone, I have had a few late nights, so I've been keeping myself occupied by making this project. I bought the tutorial from Becky Roberts. Her blog is Inking Idaho (check my blog list). She is very clever indeed. I changed it a bit by using card stock as the base and then lining it with designer paper. This makes it a lot sturdier. I made 4 cards, decorated the envelopes and made a post it note holder and bookmark. In her tutorial there are many more things to make as well.

I know these little backpack have been around for quite a while, but I thought I'd give one a go. They're really quite quick to make.Only 3 more sleeps until the new catalogue release. Woo Hoo!! Thank you again to all the lovely ladies who leave me comments.

Till next time xxx Jackie

Still here..

Just letting you all know that I am still alive and kicking. I haven't been creating lately as I have wanted to spend as much time as possible with my husband before he left for his deployment in the Middle East. Geoff left 2 days ago and I haven't really felt like doing much, but I'm planning on changing that soon. Thank you to all the lovely ladies who leave comments. I really appreciate them all.

Each morning, I open my "Daily guidance from your Angels" book and pick a page at random. Here is the thought for today. I listen to my inner child, taking the time to play, sing, dance and rest. I give it excellent care, and as I fulfill its needs, I'm rewarded with energy and joyfulness.

Do yourself a favour

If you haven't checked out Julie Buhler's blog yet, then you are missing out. She has THE most fantastic ideas. You can find her in my blog list. These adorable card purses are just one of her creations. My BFF Kylie and I, made these two up on Saturday night. We used the beautiful Petals and Paisley DSP which is retiring at the end of the month. They are still in stock if you need them. (just call me). Also, you may notice the yummy new In Colour cardstock, Pacific Point and my NEW favourite Kiwi Kiss. Being a SU demonstrator allows me to be able to purchase these before they are released to the public. This is just one of the perks of being a demonstrator. I can fill you in on the rest if you are interested. Just give me a call. Anyway, back to the card purses, everything used is from Stampin' Up except for the brads. Let me know what you think..

Thanks for stopping by. Till next time xxx Jackie

Geraniums

Good Gravy...where has the time gone? I have been a bit slack on the blog side of things, haven't I. Well I am here to mend my ways. lol..

Firstly, I came across this adorable geranium card a few weeks ago and had to give it a go. I Cased it from the very talented Lianne Carper. It was so much fun and came together rather quickly. To make the individual flower you will need 6 circle scallops and a 1" circle. Cut between each "petal" of the scallop about 1/4" towards the centre. Spray with water and crumple the flower tightly. Carefully open and slightly flatten it out. I allowed mine to dry completely before continuing. I used sticky strip for the next part, but you can use what you like. Place tape on one half of the flower and fold in half, use more tape and fold in quarters, then again in eighths. Do this for all 6 flowers. Take the 1" circle and apply tape or glue dots to the points of 5 of the flowers and arrange evenly around circle. Place a glue dot to the point of the 6th flower and attach this to the centre, covering all the points from the 5 other flowers. Then all you have to do is fluff up the petals. Easy peasy..

My gorgeous bestie Kylie, adapted this card and envelope holder to accommodate Aussie sized envelopes. She whipped the dimensions up just like that. Isn't that right Kylie,.lol.. All kidding aside, it did only take her a short while to come up with it. I think she did it while her baby girl Jorjia was having one of her catnaps. She really is a very talented lady and I thank her so much for sharing it with me. I decorated mine with Ginger Blossom DSP and of course my favourite stamp set Embrace Life.

If anyone is interested in hosting a workshop to make this set, just give me a buzz.

This is the front of the holder

Open, with envelopes on the left and cards on the right.

These are the three cards I made to go in it. It can quite easily accommodate 4 if you want.

I have wanted to make one of these cards for quite a while. You know me, I love my "diamonds"... I know many of you know how it's done, but for those that don't, here it is.
Stamp your desired image and then take your Versamark ink pad and pat it all over the image. Sprinkle Stampin' Up's Heat and Stick powder all
over and heat with heat tool. Working quickly, cover with Dazzling Diamonds and heat again. TaDa..Cool hey...

Sorry, the photo doesn't do it any justice at all.

Todays message from the Angels.

I am honest with others. I connect with my true feelings and convey them with love. My heart is open to my truth, and I ask my angels to help me express myself with love.

Thank you Kerrie-anne

A big thank you to Kerrie-anne and all the lovely ladies who attended her workshop on Monday. It was a great day. Kerrie-anne made the most delicious little spring rolls and her friend Lisa made a chocolate brownie which was out of this world. Note to self...get that recipe.. I look forward to catching up with the ladies again.

Below, are a few project I have made over the last week or so. I got my inspiration for this post it note handbag from Mary Beermans blog. They are so quick and easy to make and look great.
This is what it looks like when it is open.
Here is another

I really enjoy making bags and boxes or anything 3d for that matter. Below are a couple of bags with matching cards. These are great for gif
t giving. The bags are quite sturdy. They are made from cardstock and covered in designer paper. I am head over heals in love with the "live your dream" stamp set and the "garden whimsy" set will always be a favourite. I think it was one of the first sets I bought.

I can't remember where I came across this card, but I knew that I had to make it for my gorgeous cousin Jessica and her fiance Aaron. It reminded me of her. So bright and full of life. I wish them both, the most happy and fulfilling life together.

I will be holding another workshop in my home in a few weeks time. I will keep you posted.

Another thought for the day from my "daily guidance from your angels" book... I fully accept that I am responsible for my own happiness. I treat myself with respect and care.

Take care. xx Jackie

Easter is coming

I know Easter is a little way off yet, but I can't wait. I am having a few lovely ladies come around to my home tomorrow night and we are having an Easter workshop. Yes! we will be indulging in a few chocolate eggs, mmm chocolate!! These are the projects we will be making.

Don't you just love "A Good Egg" stamp set? It's quite obvious I do.. Below is another project I made recently. It's a door hanger, which holds a small bag of eggs.

On a completely different note, I recently bought a beautiful book 'Daily guidance from your Angels', written by Doreen Virtue. It is filled with soothing messages from the Angels. I understand that this is not everyones "cup of tea", but I find it extremely comforting. Each page has thoughts, and beneficial ways to approach the day. Todays thought said "I send blessings and friendly expressions to everyone I meet today, igniting the flame of Divine joy within myself and others. I pass along smiles and enjoy thinking about how my happiness creates a positive chain reaction." How true it is.

Note pad holders

I saw a tutorial for a post it note holder on youtube, not having any post in notes on hand, I thought I could adjust the measurements for some note pads I had. With a little fiddling about, I worked out the dimensions a taadaa, this is what eventuated. The hardest thing about all of it, was trying to find pens small enough to fit.

I made this card for Kylies gorgeous son Brodie. He celebrated his birthday, a few days ago. I can honestly say that he has to be one of the nicest young men I have ever met.
These are not Stampin' up stamps. I purchased them online a while ago, although the card stock and markers are.
