Happy 18th Erin

I can't believe it. Our beautiful daughter Erin will be turning 18 next week. Eeeek.. Here is the card I made for her. The pixie is a digi image from Charmed Cards and Crafts. I coloured her with my copic markers and printed her onto GinaK pure luxury cardstock. This paper is perfect for copic colouring. There is absolutely no bleed through at all.

We will be celebrating Erin's Birthday on Saturday as our pre-pack and up-lift for our move to Canberra starts on Monday.

I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger lately, but as you can image things are crazy here. Some would say that it's always crazy here, lol. Having said that, I am going to be (mia) missing is action for the next couple of weeks. I am going to miss my daily visits to all you lovely ladies, but I promise, I will be back as soon as humanly possible. lol..

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your kind words and support throughout 2009 and I look forward to our continuing friendships in 2010. Have a very Happy and Safe New Year.

Big hugs to you all. xo Jackie

Friendship Card

This image from Mo's Digital Pencil is part of a set of three gorgeous images. I made this one for my daughter Lauren to give to her best friend Mikaela. They are such kindred spirits. They finish each others sentences and are constantly giggling with each other. Miki has just become like another daughter to us. We are moving to Canberra in just a little over three weeks time and I am not looking forward to saying our goodbyes to her or to her whole family for that matter. Enough of this sad stuff, I'm tearing up already...

The image is called psst..Dani and Taylor. How cute is that?? I've renamed it to psst..Loz and Miki... I coloured them with my copic markers. The ticket is a digi image from Bec's digi store and the flowers, ribbon etc are from my own stash.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and thank you so very much for leaving such lovely comments. I appreciate each and every one of them.

Just a card

This is a card I made just for the fun of it. The sweet little image is called Sophie and she is from Mo's Digital Pencil. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. I coloured her with my copic markers and made the flower with the daisy heads spellbinders die. The flower is made from the same DP as I have used in the background. I just inked the edges with really rust ink. I hope you like her.

Thank you for all your precious comments, they really mean the world to me.

Bronson and Beaker

How darn cute is Bronson?? He is one of my newly acquired digis from Pollycraft. I just adore that he always has his little friend Beaker with him in all his images. If you click on the pic, you will see that I have used diamond dust for the snow, flowers soft for his pom pom and clear glaze on the ornaments. The tag is from Bec as is the DP. I hope you like him. I'm thinking of entering him into the Pollycraft Challenge. What do you think?

I would like to thank you all for you kind words and best wishes for my Grandparents 59th Wedding Anniversary yesterday. I rang them last night and read each and every comment to them. It blew them away. So a big hug to all of you. You really are an amazing, caring and thoughtful bunch of talented ladies.

Anniversary Card

My amazing Grandparents are celebrating their 59th Wedding Anniversary today and this is the card I made for them. The image is from Mo's digital pencil. They have the most wonderful images, something for every occassion.

I coloured them with my copic markers. The gorgeous flowers are from Bizzy Becs as is the music sheet stamp. The lace is from my own stash. Not sure if you can see it, but I sprayed glimmer mist on the flowers and then added glitter to the edges of the little brown ones.

I'm off to spend the afternoon with them. It is going to be so incredibly hard leaving them in 4 weeks time. They are the most amazing Grandparents and I adore them so much. God, I had better stop this, I'm starting to tear up.

I hope this finds you all well. Take care xo Jackie

Handmade flowers

Here is a card I recently finished. I just adore the little Madelynn image from The Greeting Farm. The gorgeous music sheet is from a stamp I purchased from Bec, called piano forte. The flowers I actually made myself, yes that's right, I made them...lol.. I found the tutorial for these little babies on Michele's blog (here). I have been following her for quite some time and she nearly always adds her own gorgeous handmade flowers to her creations. Well... she is such a wonderful lady, that she decided to share with us all on how she actually made them. Her tutorial (here) is super easy to follow. I changed it a little and actually scrunched my flowers before attaching them together with my brad. I have been practising and they are looking much nicer than the one's in these photos.

Here is a close up of the larger flower.

On a different note, Bec has a fantastic new Blog Candy over at Creatalicious Challenges. She has some gorgeous items up for grabs. Head on over for your chance to win this great stash.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my humble little blog. I love hearing from you all.

All That Scraps Digis

Here are two cards I've just finished. I purchased both of these adorable digi stamps from All That Scraps. The first is yet another Christmas card. Oh, I love this time of year. I coloured her with my Copic markers and the paper is what little I have left from a pack I bought from Bec. I cut her out with my Bigshot and spellbinder dies. I added polar white flower soft to her hat, diamonds to her wings and diamond dust below her feet. I purchased the amazing diamond dust from Bec.

This next one, I made for a lovely lady who has just found out she is pregnant with her first child. I kept this card really simply with not too many embellishments as I really wanted the paper to show through.

Thank you for all your kind comments. It really does make my day.

Holly Star Shine

This little lady is called HollyStarShine. Isn't she adorable. She is one of The Greeting Farm's new digi images. As soon as I saw her I was totally in love. I absolutely adore all of the images that The Greeting Farm have. I coloured her with my Copic markers and added dazzling diamonds to her wings for a little sparkle. The gorgeous tag is from Bizzy Bec. She has two "free" tags on her blog. Go check her out. Her blog is amazing AND, she has just opened up her brand new online digi store. It truly is fabulous, find it here.

I'm hoping to be back soon with a couple more cards I've been working on. I have the dreaded flu at the moment and not feeling too creative at all.

Thank you for all your lovely comments and birthday wishes, I cherish them all.

Lauren's Birthday Card

My beautiful Daughter Lauren is turning 13 on Saturday. Where has the time gone? This is the card I made for her. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. They have so many amazing digi's.
I coloured her with my Copic markers and the DP is from DCWV. The little frame around the greeting is made from my newly acquired spellbinder dies.

Lauren is having some of her friends come and have a sleep over for her birthday. She will be having a bonus that night as the Pacific Dunes Golf Club is having their Christmas Carols and fireworks on the same night. We are lucky enough to be living virtually next door to it. All we need do is sit under our pergola and look up. lol.. I too will be celebrating my Birthday on Thursday. Unfortunately my Hubby and eldest Daughter wont be home that night. Erin has her year 12 formal and Geoff will be on base having a farewell dinner. Having said that, we now only have about 5 weeks before we pack up for our posting to Canberra. Oh the joys of being married to someone serving in the Defence Force. Hopefully this will be our last posting.

I hope this finds you all well and I want to say a huge thank you to all the lovely ladies who leave comments. I truly appreciate each and everyone of them.

Swiss Pixie Digi

Just a quick post to show you a card I finished a few days ago. It's very basic isn't it. I coloured the gorgeous swiss pixie with copic markers and added dazzling diamonds to her wings and the ground. I clear embossed the always artichoke cardstock and used my "new" bigshot with the snowflake embossing folder and embossed the real red piece of cardstock. I bought the folder and my spellbinder dies from Bec's online store. She has absolutely everything you need for die cutting, embossing etc. I bought the flowers from ebay. Gotta love ebay. lol.. As I said, this card is not very impressive, but I thought I'd share it with you lovely ladies anyway.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Take care xo Jackie

Vintage Anya

I thought I'd change it up a bit and make a card not "christmassy". I adore the Miss Anya's from The Greeting Farm. I have had this set for quite some time and I had not actually inked this sweetie up before. I had the chocolate flowers and lacy ribbon just laying on my craft table and this card just came together from there. This never happens to me. I always have so much trouble trying to get a layout in my head. Anyway, I hope you like her.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog. Your comments are always so lovely. Have a wonderful week.

Take care xo Jackie

Linda's blog candy

Head on over to the lovely Linda's blog and enter her amazing blog candy draw. Linda is such a sweet lady and is incredibly talented.

I will be back shortly with another couple of cards I have been working on. I didn't get a chance over the weekend to get much crafting in as my beautiful sister Helen was here for a very short visit. She lives in Western Australia and we don't get to see her often enough. It was so lovely to see her again. She will be heading back over this way for Christmas, so saying goodbye to her yesterday wasn't to bad at all.

We also have another addition to our family, we adopted an month old Lavender Point Himalayan cat. His name is Indie and he is adorable. Our other two moggies are not very happy with us at the moment. Hopefully it wont take too long and they will all be best of buddies.

Christmas, Pixie Chicks Style!

As you know, I'm infatuated with my pixie chick images at the moment. Here is a card I recently made. To see it clearer, just click on the picture. I coloured her with copics and used some flocking on the tops of her boots and dress. Thank you Kylie for letting me use your flocking. The beautiful paper is some I recently purchased from Bec. I'm working on a couple more at the moment. I have them already coloured, but I'm having a little trouble in making them into a finished card.

I hope you're all having a great day. Take care xo Jackie

Pink Christmas

This card is so far from the traditional christmas cards don't you think, but I think sometimes a change can be good too. Yes, this is another Pixie Chick image, isn't she gorgeous. I couldn't decide which set to buy, so I just had to get both. lol.. I didn't have any pink flowers to match, so I coloured some white ones with my copics. Thanks for taking the time to visit and for leaving your wonderful comments. I really appreciate each and everyone of them.

Pixie Chicks

Whoo hoo...Two posts in two days. This girls on a roll... I purchased this adorable pixie chick last night and couldn't go to bed until I had coloured her and made up this card. She is sooo gorgeous, as is all the pixie chicks. I coloured her with copics and added diamonds to her wings and the little butterfly. You wouldn't believe how close I was to spilling all my diamonds on the floor last night. Eek. I think my heart skipped a beat or two. lol. I hope you like her.

Have a great weekend lovely ladies and thank you for all your gorgeous comments. xo Jackie

Christmas Fairy

First of all, I want to apologise for the quality of the photo. I'ts a miserable day here today and this is the best light possible. As soon as I saw this digi image from Digital Pencil, I knew I just couldn't live without it. lol..She is called Christmas Fairy Holly and she is just gorgeous. I have kept this card very clean and simple because I wanted to show off the lovely dp (thanks Bec). I coloured her with my copic markers and added some diamonds to the snow globe. If you click onto the photo it will come up larger on your screen to give you a clearer image.

I'll be back in the next couple of days with another couple of cards I'm working on at the moment. This will hopefully keep 2 ladies who's name I wont mention off my back. Yes, you know who you are. lol....I even had an email from one of them demanding that I had to post something sooner rather than later. Oh, it's so nice to be loved. lol..

Thank you to all the lovely ladies who have left sweet, encouraging comments. I absolutely love the thought that I have all these blogging friends from all over the world.

Till next time, take care xo Jackie

Origami Gift Box

My beautiful friend Kylie found this tutorial (on splitcoaststampers I think). It was written by the very talented Vicki Hook. The finished size of the box is about 3" square. Perfect for little gifts.

This is what it looks like open.

I will try to find out exactly where Kylie found this tutorial and I will post the details. Or if you like, just send me an email and I will forward a copy to you. This really took no time at all to complete. I finished mine off with some ribbon, flowers and embelishments from my own stash and some gorgeous DCWV paper.

Have a great weekend, Take care xo Jackie

Little Angels

Quite a while ago, my daughter asked me to find some cute colouring pages from the internet. I can't for the life of me, remember where I found this image. I only came across it a couple of weeks ago in a pile of papers I was going through and thought what a cute little card it would make. I adore their little faces and the little birds are just darling. If I do come across where I found it, I will post the details for you.

I hope you like it. Till next time, take care xo Jackie

Another Digi Image

Here is a card I made for my daughter Erin to give to one of her very special teachers. As soon as I saw this image, I knew I just had to have it. Her name is Shaya and she is from Victoria Case. Her digital images are incredible. I love that you don't have to wait for the postie to deliver them, you receive them instantly.

This was just a quick post today. My best friend Kylie will be here shortly. I am babysitting her gorgeous children this afternoon, as she and her partner Phil are attending Nikita and Scott's wedding up in the Hunter Valley Wineries.

I just want to thank all the lovely ladies who have left me comment. I really love hearing from each and everyone of you and I appreciate everything you say.

Card With Drawer

I found this amazing tutorial here, for this little box. I had so much fun making it. I was a little confused with the measurements at first, but soon realised that when there is an (*) just make is an (x) and the (, )is a (.) For example you will see a measurement for 13,4*13,4cm. this should read 13.4cm x 13.4cm This will all make sense when you check out the original tutorial. I used my copic markers and the delightful Miss Anya stamp from Greeting Farm. The flowers were some that my beautiful Nan gave me quite a while ago.

Millie the Christmas Mouse

As promised, here is another gorgeous digi image. This little baby is called Millie. I purchased it from the digi stamp boutique. I coloured her using my copic markers and used some papers from Bizzy Becs. It's a little hard to see, but I have dazzling diamonds for the snow at her feet and I also added it to the white parts on her dress. I hope you like her.

Digi Stamps

With the whether being so horrible lately, I have been able to rug up and get some time to myself and make a couple of cards. I have found the wonderful world of digital stamping. I was a bit dubious about it at first. I searched the web and found some fantastic sites. Once you purchase them, you download them and keep them in a file and can use them over again, just like rubber stamps, except they don't take up any space lol..having said that, I haven't converted to them totally, I still love the hands on approach with rubber and ink.

Here are just a couple of images I have been working on lately.

This little sweetie is called Shaela. For this card I used
Cardstock: SU Taken with teal and whisper white
Stamps: Best Yet hostess set level 1 and Scribble jumbo wheel
Other: Copic markers, dazzling diamonds, Martha Steward border punch, ticket punch, flowers, teal half pearls and rhinestones.

I'm madly in love with all the little Swiss Pixies at the moment. This is the adorable little Leisel. This image is not a digital image (although you can purchase her digitally). I had forgotten that I had this cardstock. I think I need to sit down one day soon and re-acquaint my self with my stash. lol..

I want to thank all the lovely ladies who sent their best wishes to my daughter Erin for her fantastic result of achieving Dux for yr 12. She was so excited to think that people she had never met, were congratulating her. You truly are very thoughtful and I thank you.

I will be back in a couple of days with a couple more digi images. Let me know what you think. I appreciate each and every comment.

Till next time, take care xo Jackie

Congratulations Erin

My beautiful daughter Erin had her year 12 presentation today AND she received the award for Dux of the year. We are so extremely proud of her. Anyone who knows Erin, knows how hard she studies and applies herself to everything in her life (except keeping her bedroom tidy..lol). She throughly deserves this award. Now she has the huge task of sitting her HSC after the holidays. I have no doubt that she will pass with flying colours. Congratulations sweetheart, I love you so very much.

Here is the card I made for her. We are all going out for a very special dinner tonight to celebrate.

Birthday card for Kerri-Anne

Hello there. Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog. Here is the card I made for my good friend Kerri-Anne. Her birthday is tomorrow, 1st October. I hope you have a lovely day my dear friend. It's a little hard to see, but I have embossed the butterfly with a gorgeous teal glitter embossing powder. The friend circle is embossed and coloured with Stampin' Up! taken with teal marker. I have been neglecting my poor stamps lately as I am madly in love with my Copics and just can't get enough of them. As a very dear friend of mine always says' "It's a disease"... Hi Phil.. anyway, here is my attempt at getting back into stamping. For this card is used the following:

Stamps: Simple Friendship
Card Stock: Taken with Teal, Whisper White and Basic Black
Ink: Taken with Teal, Basic Black
Other: Teal embossing powder, black satin ribbon, Martha Stewart Valentine border punch, dimensionals.

A while ago, I purchased a tutorial from the very inspirational Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho. She has the most amazing tutorials and they are very easy to follow.

This is from the Purse-onally Perfect Notes tutorial. I have only made the purse and am hoping to make the cards to go inside sooner rather than later, lol. It was sooo much fun. Check out her blog here. She has many more tutorial and they are all fantastic.

For this project I used:
Card Stock: Basic Grey textured cs, Urban Oasis DSP, Sahara Sand and Whisper White
Stamp: Fifth Avenue Floral
Ink: Black Stazon, Baja Breeze
Other: Vintage Brads, Clear Rhinestone Brad, Square Punch, Sticky Strip.

Thank you to all the lovely ladies for taking time and leaving me encouraging comments. I appreciate each and every one of them.

Birthday Cards

Here are just two of the four birthday cards I need to make before the end of next week. I'm thinking of entering this card into Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenge.

The first is for my beautiful and incredibly talented friend Kylie. Happy Birthday for the 5th gorgeous. I just had to use her favourite colour combination of pink and green. I coloured the Sugar Nellie image with my Copic markers. The tiny little pink rose is from Bizzy Becs. She has an incredible array of flowers in her online store. You simply must check it out.

The second card is for Kylies adorable little girl Jorjia. I love this little girl as if she was my very own. I can't believe she is going to be turning 3. I think she needs a playmate Kylie...lol...

This is another Sugar Nellie image, coloured with my Copic markers. I used crystal effects on the apples to give a lovely gloss to them. I'm in the process of making the other two cards at the moment. One is for Kylies other daughter Miki and the other is for Kylies Mum Lyn. (Hi Lyn, wish I was coming down with Kylie next week to see you). Since knowing Kylie, October is now a very busy month for Birthdays for me too, but I wouldn't have it any other way. They are all so very special to me and my family.

Till next time, take care Jackie xo

Back Again

Wow.. It feels like I've been away for ever. I have had a lovely two weeks with my hubby. We had a lovely romantic picnic by the river (just the two of us). As you can imagine, the kids have wanted to be by his side the whole time. So it was lovely just being the two of us.

We celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week and went out to dinner to the
restaurant that we had our very first date at. It was so lovely. Geoff bought me the most beautiful diamond ring set . They are simply stunning. Yes, I am very spoiled.

Geoff has another 3 weeks off before he heads back to work. We are starting to get busy doing our household inventory for our posting to Canberra. It will be here before we know it. We already have a home and schools organised, so that is a huge relief.

I'ts Fathers Day here in Australia today, so a big happy Fathers Day to all. Here is the card I made for my gorgeous Pop. He loves fishing. Love ya Pop..

I coloured him with my Copic Markers and used Stampin' Up! card stock in Always Artichoke, Bordering Blue and Brocade Blue.

I also had a play with one of my new stamps from Bizzy Bec's. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. What do you think?

I adore all the tilda's. The paper and flower are from Bizzy Bec's and the card stock is Stampin' Up!. The heart border is a Martha Stewart border punch.

While I was absent, I received this award from the beautiful Cheryl. Thank you, yet again for thinking of me. You are such a sweet lady. (big hugs to you).

Till next time, take care xo Jackie

Still here

Just letting you all know that I am still in the land of the living. lol..

I have been spending all my time with Geoff since he came home. I'ts so nice to have him back. Having said that, I'm planning on getting something made this weekend and will post it shortly after. Well, that's the grand plan anyway.

I hope you are all well and thank you for all of your lovely comments and well wishes.

At the moment, all signs are positive for the return of my gorgeous husband. I'm trying not to get too excited, BUT...2 more sleeps...2 more sleeps...lol.

Thank you to all the lovely ladies who have left me encouraging thoughts. You truly are wonderful.

Birthday Card

Here is the card I made for my gorgeous little niece Bella, for her 2nd Birthday. My sister Debbie, lives in Darwin, so unfortunately we don't get to see much of her. We are planning an early birthday party for Bella, as they are heading on down this way in a couple of months time. We will all have lots of time for cuddles and spoiling. (That's what Aunties are for, isn't it?) I coloured the tilda quite a while ago and found her between some card stock while I was tidying up my craft area. All the card stock is from Stampin' Up!. I made some faux brads with punched circles and crystal effects. I also used the build a brad from SU for the centre of the flower. The ribbon is from my stash and I used my Martha Stewart border punch, and Mc Gill leaf punch.

I can now count on one hand, how many more sleeps until my darling husband comes home from the Middle East. We are still hoping and praying that everything will work out. I'm waiting on a call from him today letting me know what's happening. There is a chance that his departure will be delayed for another week. I know many people will say "gosh it's only another week" but believe me, it is so hard. Each day we get closer the slower time seems to pass. We all have our fingers crossed. I still haven't told the children yet. My plan is to tell them that I have to race down to the supermarket, but I will head in the other direction and get Geoff from the Airport. I can't wait....

Till next time, take care xo Jackie

Birthday Card for my Sister and a special Thank you card from a dear Friend

Here is the card I just finished for my beautiful little sister Helens' Birthday. Happy Birthday for the 12th honey. She lives over in Western Australia and I miss her so much. She has a beautiful little boy Nathaniel and he is just like her. I love t
hem to bits. I'm hoping that they will be able to make it across this way for one of my other sister's 40th Birthday. Unfortunately, that isn't until January.

Speaking of January, we have been posted to Canberra and will leave here on the 6th January. I'm in the process of finding schools and housing (oh Joy!!!). I love Canberra, so of course part of me is quite excited by that, on the other hand, I have some very dear friends and family here and it is going to be hard leaving them. Canberra is only about 5 hours away, so it will be easy to come up for weekends.

I'm definately on the countdown now, until my gorgeous husband will be coming home from the Middle East. 14 days and counting. I'm so excited, even getting little butterflies in my stomach. I still haven't told the kids of his expected arrival as it could change so quickly. I learnt that the hard way last Christmas. I miss him so so much and am extremely proud of him serving our country.

It was his Birthday yesterday and his troops arranged a chocolate cake for him (his favourite). How special was that?? We had a cake for him also. My son decided that he should eat his dad's piece for him. It was so cute.

On a completely different note. My dear friend Kerri-Anne came over yesterday for a visit and handed me this incredible thank you card she had made. The work she put into it was amazing. I haven't taken a pic of the inside as she had handwritten a personal message to me, but I can tell you, the sewing she did was fantastic. Everything was cut out by hand. Sh
e definately has a knack. Thank you so much Kerri-Anne, you are gorgeous.

Thank you to all the beautiful ladies who leave me comments. I really do appreciate them all. Till next time, take care xo Jackie

Happy Birthday Mum

Here's the card I made for my beautiful Mum. Happy Birthday xo. She's not in much shape to be celebrating as she is still unwell with pneumonia. Get better soon Mum. I cased the idea for this card from the very talented Andrea Walford. Let me know what you think. I love getting feedback.

Till next time, take care xo Jackie
